MY MEMORIES

Created by Beverley 3 years ago

I have so many happy memories of Auntie Norma.

Childhood summer holidays, mostly spent  in a caravan, Robinson family in one, Metcalfes in another usually side by side, having taken what seemed days to get there, often I would change cars, part of the journey with Auntie Norma and Uncle Stan and part in ours.  They were fun times, beach in the day, clubhouse in the evening for the entertainment.

Always remember visiting and also staying a night or two at Barnoldswick, also loved going to the village shop at West Marton , where my brother Ian and myself were allowed to help ourselves to the sweets, what a treat it was.

In later years when  house renovating  more than once, Auntie Norma was always very interested and often popped to see us to see the progress we had made.  She also offered her decorating skills and together with my mum Pat they completely decorated the attic bedroom for us .

Mostly though Auntie Norma just loved being involved with the family and getting us all together when possible.

A much loved lady and will be sadly missed.
